Six Pack – Is There A Right Way?
Dentistry, in its complexity, gives us, on the one hand, great possibilities in decision-making (approaching one problem in several different ways). But, on the other hand, we feel the need for clearly defined routines and protocols to be able consistently to achieve predictable results.
It is not necessary to have a decades-long career behind you to be able to witness considerable changes in the daily protocols we follow. Changes are now swift and becoming even faster. Ironically, the changes that are freshly introduced can sometimes be polar opposing from the ones that preceded and guided us.
We will consider the dilemmas we encounter in everyday practice through a series of six cases. The (seemingly) same or similar problems sometimes require an entirely different solution — the essential should be being guided by a long-term positive result. Unfortunately, paradigms in dentistry sometimes take us on the wrong track.
