Antonio Linares
Antonio Liñares je istaknuti doktor dentalne medicine, specijalist parodontologije i sveučilišni profesor s bogatim akademskim i kliničkim iskustvom. Diplomirao je dentalnu medicinu na Sveučilištu u Santiagu de Compostela 2000. godine, a potom stekao magisterij iz kliničke dentalne medicine u parodontologiji na prestižnom Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, između 2002. i 2005. godine. Iste godine postaje europski specijalist parodontologije, akreditiran od strane Europske federacije za parodontologiju. Godine 2010. stječe titulu doktora znanosti s pohvalom (European PhD) na Sveučilištu u Santiagu de Compostela.
Trenutno je izvanredni profesor parodontologije na Sveučilištu u Santiagu de Compostela, gdje predaje na diplomskim i poslijediplomskim studijima te vodi istraživanja iz područja regeneracije parodonta, mukogingivalne terapije, vođene regeneracije kosti, terapije periimplantitisa i protokola za neposrednu ugradnju implantata. Od 2016. godine obnaša dužnost počasnog kliničkog višeg predavača na Queen Mary University of London, a od 2007. do 2018. bio je počasni klinički predavač na Eastman Dental Institute, UCL. Također je bio član Izvršnog odbora Španjolskog društva za parodontologiju (SEPA) od 2007. do 2016. godine.
Antonio Liñares dobitnik je brojnih prestižnih nagrada, uključujući Fonseca nagradu Španjolskog društva za parodontologiju (2007.), ITI Schroeder nagradu za predklinička istraživanja (2017.) i PhD Extraordinary Prize Sveučilišta u Santiagu de Compostela. ITI Fellow je i član Odbora za komunikacije Europske federacije za parodontologiju (EFP). Autor je više od 25 znanstvenih radova u časopisima s JCR faktorom te redovito predaje na nacionalnim i međunarodnim kongresima.
Uz akademsku i znanstvenu karijeru, Antonio Liñares vodi privatnu praksu u La Coruñi, Španjolska, koja je specijalizirana isključivo za parodontologiju i dentalnu implantologiju, gdje implementira najnovija znanstvena saznanja i suvremene tehnologije u svakodnevni rad s pacijentima.
Mucogingival therapy 2.0 in complex recessions
Mucogingival surgery helps us to restore the aesthetics of the smile but also to improve the support of the teeth and therefore its long-term maintenance. Classic and new techniques can be used with slight modifications in advanced recession situations. In addition, interdisciplinary treatments can help us to treat these complex recessions to achieve success in treatment. It will be shown a new interdisciplinary protocol for the treatment of class 3 / RT2 recessions in anterior teeth of periodontal patients. When we treat periodontal patients, we are dealing with patients with an esthetic sequelae due to disease with black triangles. Moreover, once the disinfection phase under control, soft tissue shrinkage of the issues is expected, impairing patients esthetics.
This innovate protocol consists in performing mucogingival surgery with tunnel connective tissue graft during orthodontic tooth movement. Not before and not after, but during. This is what I called as Guided Ortho Mcucogingival Therapy (GOMT) protocol, since we are moving the tooth with a connective tissue graft aiming root coverage, not only buccal but also medial and distal where the black triangles are present. This orthodontic tooth movement is intrusion and palatal torque of the root, similarly what it occurs with the BOPT concept. Leave space for the soft tissues to advance coronally, but first thickening them.
